Chapter 11 - The Lost

Zoro comments on how easy it was to defeat Buggy. He then finds that he can’t get Luffy’s cage open. The pirates are giggling, and Zoro asks them for the key. They keep laughing and Zoro and Luffy comment on how weird they are. All of a sudden, Buggy’s hand sticks a knife in Zoro’s side.

Of course Nami, Zoro, and Luffy are confused as hell. Buggy explains that he has eaten the ‘Separate Fruit’. His power is that he can split his body into different parts. If he is cut, he can put himself back together again. Luffy gets upset and says that stabbing someone in his back is wrong. He then calls him a big-nosed coward. (Uh-oh) Buggy gets steamed, and sends a knife-armed hand toward Luffy. The knife seemingly hits Luffy, but Luffy catches it in his teeth and breaks it. He then declares that he will beat Buggy. Buggy and his crew have a big laugh. Luffy tells Zoro to leave. He hesitates, and then seems to know what Luffy has planned and does as he’s ordered.

Buggy sends to hands armed with knives after Zoro, which are easily countered. Zoro then goes to the cannon, and turns it right around toward Buggy and his crew. Buggy’s pirates are about to crap themselves. Zoro tells Nami to fire, and she complies. The blast tears the roof off. Zoro tells Nami to hurry and run, and then asks whom she is. Nami says she’s a thief, and Luffy says that she’s their new navigator. She obviously gets mad at this. Zoro tells Luffy to stay in the cage as he lifts it up. Both Nami and Luffy are worried about the blood he’s losing, but Zoro tells them not to worry.

Meanwhile, Buggy is coming out of the dust. Some of the pirates made it out of the blast fine, but they realize that the key to the cage is gone.

Zoro hides with Luffy on a rooftop.

Buggy is angry…

Chapter 12 - The Dog

NEW CHARACTERS:

Mr. Boodle
- Mayor of the deserted village
Shushu
- A mysterious dog
Mohji
- A hairy member of Buggy’s pirates who rides a giant lion
Richie
- Mohji’s Lion

Buggy tells his pirates that they will teach those kids a lesson. Then Mohji, a guy covered with fur, and Richie, the guy’s giant lion (he rides the lion, just to give you an image on how big this thing is), and asks Buggy if he may kill Roronoa Zoro. Buggy lets him.

Zoro and Luffy are walking through the town, a ways off from where Buggy is, and Zoro collapses and says he can’t carry Luffy’s cage anymore. Then they realize that a little dog is sitting right next to them. They are curious, because it’s not moving. Luffy touches it, and it bites him in the face. After fighting with the dog, Luffy collapses along with Zoro. Nami then comes along with the key to the cage. She had no time to steal anything else because of it. (She does have a good side to her). Every one’s happy… until the dog goes up and eats the key. Luffy starts choking it. Then some guy  who looks like a skinny Benjamin Franklin with armor on tells Luffy to stop choking Shushu (the dog). He is Mr. Boodle, the Mayor of the village.

Later on, Boodle takes Zoro to his house to rest. Luffy asks Boodle why the dog is just sitting in the street. Boodle says it’s because it is protecting the dog food store. Boodle’s best friend owns the store and opened it ten years ago with Shushu, his trusty dog. Boodle shows Luffy and the gang Shushu’s scars, which came from fighting pirates.

Nami wondered why he was protecting the store and pointed out that his owner was moving out of the town like everyone else. Boodle says that Shushu’s owner actually died of illness. He went to the hospital 3 months before and never returned. Boodle says that people believe that Shushu is waiting for his master to return. Even so, Boodle believes that the dog knows his owner is dead but is still protecting it because it reminds him of his owner. Boodles then says that he wanted to leave the town, but just can’t let the dog stand there alone until he dies.

Suddenly, a roar comes from out of nowhere and Mayor Boodles screams, “That must be Mohji and his lion!” Everyone (but Luffy, of course) runs. Luffy tells the dog to give him the key back. Finally, Mohji and Richie introduce themselves and laughs at the fact that Luffy was left behind. Luffy asks him why he’s wearing a teddy bear suit and Mohji screams ‘THIS ISN’T A SUIT. THIS IS MY HAIR!’ He then tells Luffy that he is not safe in his cage. He then says that every animal, even the dog obeys his every command. Shushu proceeds to bite him in the arm. Then Mohji says that he doesn’t care about them, he just wants to know where Roronoa Zoro is. Luffy refuses to answer the question. Mohji commands Richie to kill Luffy. Richie jumps on Luffy’s cage, and breaks it. (Uh-oh, he doesn’t know what he just did.) Richie then knocks Luffy through a building. (Oh, then I guess he did. \:o) Mohji vows to find Zoro and kill him so that he can achieve fame, but then something catches his eye. It’s a pet food store! He decides to let Richie have a little snack. (Uh-oh)

On the street parallel to the street Shushu, Mohji and Richie are about to fight on, Luffy gets up and vows to pay Mohji and Richie back and make Nami his navigator...

Chapter 13 - Treasure

Nami and Boodle find Luffy and are shocked that he was knocked through a house and came out without a scratch. Boodle asks Luffy why he came to the town and got involved with the pirates. He said it was because he came to find a navigator and get to Grand Line.

At the pet store, Mohji realizes that Shushu is a guard for the pet store. Richie knocks Shushu out of the way, but the dog is still determined. As the lop-sided fight between Shushu and Richie commences, various flashbacks are shown, each one with Shushu and his master running the store. Shushu is obviously getting beaten harshly.

Luffy leaves to find Mohji to fight him again, and at the same time Mohji and Ritchie walk off, presumably obtaining their prize. Luffy arrives and the pet food store is on fire and Shushu is sitting in front of the blaze, barking. Mohji and Ritchie appear. “I just killed you! Why are you still alive?” says Mohji. Luffy says, “You can’t kill me so easily. Because I’m a rubber man.” Mohji orders Ritchie to kill Luffy once and for all. Luffy twists his arms in a spiral and grabs the lion’s head. He spins Ritchie in the air and slams him to the ground (Gomu Gomu Screw!!)

Stunned can’t even describe how Mohji’s feeling. Luffy tells him that he ate a Devil’s Fruit when he was small. Mohji tries to apologize, but Luffy isn’t having it. Luffy stretches his arm toward Mohji, pulls Mohji toward him, and throws a haymaker right to his face, slamming him on the ground.

Nami sees the burnt down dog food store, and starts a rant on how all pirates are evil. Luffy returns, and Nami screams at him and threatens to kill him. Boodle holds Nami back and Luffy places a messed up box of dog food to Shushu, telling the dog that that was the only food he could save. Shushu was obviously happy, and Nami was impressed.

Meanwhile, Buggy got the news that Mohji lost. He then tells his pirates to prepare Buggy’s Special Cannon Ball. He’s going to destroy the town…

Chapter 14 - Reckless

Mohji tries to tell Buggy about Luffy’s power, but collapses. Buggy gets worried over how tough Luffy is, and tells his crew to hurry and prepare the cannon.

Meanwhile, at the refugee camp where the villagers are located, Shushu comes and the villagers are worried because the Mayor hasn’t returned. Boodles was supposed to go out and feed Shushu.

Nami apologizes to Luffy for treating him so bad, and Luffy says he understands because of her ordeal with pirates, but tells her that he doesn’t want to here hear story (Oh, don’t worry, we will much later on…). Mayor Boodles gets frustrated because he let the pirates mess up the town. He tells a story about how he and a few villagers built the town from scratch. He’s determined to protect his town no matter what. All of a sudden, Buggy fires on the town and destroys many houses including the Mayor’s house, where Zoro is sleeping. Luffy calls out to Zoro and he emerges from the dust, complaining about how his nap had been ruined.

The Mayor is steamed because his town is destroyed. He goes off to try to fight Buggy and Nami, who tries to stop him, says he is being too reckless. Mayor Boodles screams, “I KNOW I’M RECKLESS,” and runs off. Zoro voices what everyone’s thinking; there’s about to be a big confrontation. Luffy says that he won’t let Boodles die. He says that he will get the map to Grand Line from Buggy, and asks Nami to join him for the umpteenth time. Nami states while she will not become a pirate, she will join him if she gets to keep all the treasure.

Buggy is about to fire a second shot of his Special Cannon Ball, when Boodle arrives, calling him out.

Nami is amazed that even with his injury, Zoro is going to fight again. Zoro says that his pride hurts worse than his injury. Nami watches in disbelief as Luffy and Zoro go back to fight Buggy the Clown…

Chapter 15 - Gong

NEW CHARACTERS:

Kabaji
- Buggy’s first mate and swordsman/acrobat. Watch out Zoro…

Boodle challenges Buggy. Kabaji, Buggy’s swordsman, asks Buggy if he can finish off Boodle. Kabaji then pulls a sword out of his mouth, and jumps off of the roof that Buggy and his crew are on.  He lands on a unicycle while spinning a top on his sword. Buggy tells Kabaji to fall back, because Boodle wanted to fight him. Buggy asks Boodle why he wants to fight, and Boodles responds that the town is his treasure and he will protect it. Buggy laughs at him, saying that gold and money are treasures, not something as trivial as a town. Boodle then tells Buggy to shut up and fight. Buggy launches a hand right at Boodle’s throat. While Buggy is choking him, Boodle punches his hand, hurting him. Buggy then boasts that Boodle can’t win, and after this he will go to Grand Line and obtain the One Piece. Buggy points the cannon at Boodle and Boodle screams at him to get off of the roof and fight him. All of a sudden, Buggy feels a pain in his hand. He looks down and sees Luffy holding Boodle, and squeezing his hand at the same time. Buggy reattaches his hand and tells Luffy and the gang to come on the roof and fight. Nami tells Luffy and Zoro to fight while she gets Buggy’s treasure and his Grand Line map. Boodle gets up and tries to fight again, but Luffy smashes his head into a wall, knocking him out. Nami gets mad, and Luffy says “I just made him get out of my way.” Zoro agrees that knocking him out was a good plan, because Boodle would’ve gotten himself killed.

Luffy then shows to Buggy, “YOU. BIG NOSE.”  Of course Buggy is heated and commands his crew to use the Buggy’s Special Cannon Ball on them. Nami screams, “WHY DID YOU SAY THAT?” and Zoro screams “HEY LUFFY! RUN!” Luffy then says that the cannon ball cannot hurt him. He shouts, “GOMU GOMU BALLOON!” and sucks up a lot of air, becoming a giant balloon. The cannon ball hits him, and bounces back at Buggy and his crew. The house they are standing upon explodes. Luffy grins…
