Black Star Dragonballs saga Episode 1 (1): Secondary effect? - Goku
becomes a kid again!
Goku and Ubb are seen fighting in Kami’s Palace, fighting with all
their might. Dende and Mr. Popo are standing below the room where
the battle is taking place. Dende asks Mr. Popo “isn’t this place
suppose to be able to sustain any kinds of battles?” Mr. Popo
replies, “it suppose too, but maybe we shouldn't stand here.” A
large explosion causes Dende and Mr. Popo to fall to the ground.
Meanwhile as the battle rages on and distracts Dende and Mr. Popo,
3 suspicious looking mechas sneak into Kami’s Palace. It appears
that the people inside the mechas are Lord Pilaf and his two
minions Mai and Shin! Now it’s been decades since we last saw this
gang (they were in the original Dragonball, around the 10th
episodes or so), they all appear to be very old. Mai tell Pilaf
that there appears to be someone near the palace with a large
power source. But Pilaf insists to move on as they are close to
achieving the ultimate goal! Pilaf and crew continue on somewhere
deep into the palace and discovers what he thought existed there:
the Black Star Dragonballs (and all of them gathered too)! The old
Kami (god of Earth) created these Dragonball before he split in
two (the old Kami and Piccolo), and because of this they are more
powerful than the regular Dragonballs. They have been hidden deep
in the palace for a long time. Lord Pilaf was delighted and
commanded his minions to quickly gather them. After a few more
moments where the battle continued on, Goku and Ubb emerge from
the battle room fatigued. Both had a look of satisfaction on their
faces. Goku tells Dende, “thanks for letting us use the battle
room; I’ve wanted to fight Ubb like this for a long time.”
After Ubb and Goku have been healed, Ubb tells Goku that he’s has
to take off; he’s worried about his brother and sister and wanted
to make sure that they are OK. So, Ubb thanks Goku for the
training, thanks Dende for all his help and bids everyone
farewell. Now that Goku has some free time, he asks Dende if he
has anything to eat cause he’s starving (as usual). During this
time Lord Pilaf and crew gathered the Dragonballs and were getting
ready to call on Shenron just right outside somewhere on the
palace (why they do this is pretty stupid since they knew someone
strong was there, but I guess they were antsy to get the wish
granted). Pilaf summons Shenron and a large red Dragon appears in
the air asking: State you wish and I will Gant it! Unbeknown to
the bad guys, Goku saw a flash of light the moment the Dragon
appeared from the Dragonballs; he was curious to see what that was
all about. And as Pilaf is getting ready to make his wish, Goku
appears before them and says what are you guys doing here? After
choking a bit, trying to hide what he was doing, Pilaf realizes
that this was Son Goku, the mischievous little boy that foiled his
plans long ago. Pilaf freaks out before he gathers himself and
commands Mai and Shin to attack Goku. Mai and Shin fire missiles
(via their mechs) at Goku, but he stops them before they explode
with ease (Goku catches one with his hands and stops the other two
with his feet). “You guys never change, huh?” Goku says with a
disgusted look on his face. Pilaf was so pissed, he mistakenly
wised Goku was young again so he could easily kick his butt. The
Red Shenron says, “your wish will be granted.” Pilaf replies with
a shrewd “huh?” as Goku transform back into a little kid. “What
was that that just happened?” Goku asks in his 12 year old voice.
He is now 12 years old, just as Pilaf wished for!
Dende gets in contact with Kaio telepathically, and tells him the
details of the discovery of the Black Star Dragonballs and the
events that took place. Kaio does not feel good about it and tells
Dende that the only way for Goku to get back to normal is to
collect the Black Star Dragonballs, which are scattered among the
galaxy. He goes on to tell Dende that he’s going to do some more
poking around to find out more information about these new
Dragonballs. Dende tells Goku the bad news, and reiterates that
obviously this could be very difficult to fix because the
Dragonballs are scattered among the universe. But Goku doesn’t
seem to care much that he’s a kid again and takes off to earth to
get some more to eat and see his family. Dende feels that they
can’t leave things the way they are, but Goku takes off before he
could stop him.
In Satan city a now teenage Pan is walking with a potential
boyfriend, enjoying a date and getting ready to see a movie.
Elsewhere in the city Mutenroshi is looking for Pan, but along the
way he bumps into the fine women who he happens to pass by. There
seems to be a hostage situation in the city where the criminals
are demanding food so they can eat. Unfortunately for Pan and her
date, the police have sealed off a certain area of the city, which
prevents them from getting to the movie theater. This makes Pan
upset and causes her to take the situation in her own hands. The
police are attempting to subdue the criminals as they tainted
their meals with a sleeping ointment. The criminals expected this
as they tested this out on someone and wrecked havoc on the street
and fired away at the buildings. Meanwhile, Goku is eating at a
Chinese restaurant and was disturbed by the commotion nearby where
the criminals are. He goes to the area to find out what the fuss
was all about. Figuring he could beat these guys up quickly, Goku
gets ready to battle and tells one of the criminals to stop. Just
as Goku was getting ready to fight, Pan comes out of nowhere and
pulls Goku to the side telling him, “kid, you need to stay out of
the way, before you get yourself hurt.” Goku and Pan did not
really know who each other were for obvious reasons: Pan was all
grown up as a teenager and Goku was a kid again. Goku seemed to be
dumbfounded by Pan’s rescue attempts, just because. After Pan
beats up the criminals in the same fashion as her mother had done
in the past, both Goku and Pan call Mutenroshi, and he realizes
that this little boy happens to be Goku. Pan quickly freaks out as
she sees her Grandfather is now younger than she is.
Back at the Son Goku’s house, Chi-chi is upset that Goku is has
now become a child. Gohan, Videl and the rest of the gang
speculate how they were going to get Goku back to being grown up
again. Goku again didn’t seem to care if he remained a child or
not. While they decide that is may not be worth the effort to get
travel the galaxy to get all the Black Star Dragonballs, Kaio
communicated to the Goku gang with a stunning revelation: using
the Black Star Dragonballs has a secondary effect on the planet it
is being used. If the Dragonballs are not returned to the planet
they were originally used on within one year, the planet will
explode.
