TECHNIQUES
- Big Bang Attack: Vegita's first technique as a Super Saiyan. Its a huge energy bolt
emitted from his palm that is very powerful. Vegita holds out one arm and flatten his palm
forward towards the opponent.
- Galick-Ho: An imitation to Mutenroshi's Kamehameha. He powers up the
energy then releases it with both hands forward.
INTERESTING NOTES ON VEGITA
The name Vegita is a play in the word vegetable.
*In
theory, there are 7 Saiyan survivors: Tarus from movie3, Brolli and
his father from movie8. Why do I state that there are only four
surviving Saiyans? Again in theory movie3 and 8 could have never
happened. So, in theory those Saiyans could never exists. Then again
you could argue otherwise!
VEGITA
MYTHOLOGY
Vegita, the prince of all Saiyans!
|
At
Vegita's introduction, we see that he is pure evil and very powerful.
Throughout his early life he was a dominant fighter in every aspect. No
one beat him yet. To Vegita this was his prized possession: the status of
being the greatest fighter in the universe. But one day that was
challenged by a warrior from earth named Son Goku. Not only is he “rearguard
as a low class Saiyan,” but he was also able to match Vegita’s own
strength! In the eyes of Vegita, this is a great insult of his existence.
Because Vegita was supposedly capable of being more powerful than
Goku, this fact gnawed in his mind like a pimple that wont pop. The sole
reason for his heated competition with Goku is because he is the Prince
of all Saiyans, and therefore must be stronger than all Saiyans (AKA; this
is how King Vegita gets to be King, he was the strongest Saiyan at the
time he was king).
During the Freeza saga, Vegita put that conflict on the back of his mind. Subtle
out breaks of his frustration is evident here and there. At this time his
main focus is immortality, getting the Dragonballs (on Nameck) and
becoming the most dominant in the universe. Yes, Vegita is a force to be
reckoned with, but he is not powerful enough to beat all of Freeza's
henchmen. He knew that one day he could achieve the status of the Super
Saiyan and be the most powerful in the universe. Being immortal would
enforce that. His attitude changed however, when he saw Goku for the
second time. He realized how much Goku gained in power so quickly (from
the last time they met.) This is impossible for Vegita to understand. He
can't accept that Goku is always one step ahead of him.
Vegita could have chased the Dragonballs and achieved immortality
to beat Goku after Nameck exploded. But upon hearing that Goku survived
the explosion and is training more, it fueled Vegita’s competitive
spirit, and thus the rivalry is at full speed. As Vegita develops and gets
stronger, he puts aside his "gnawing" hatred for Goku and waits
for the day to challenge him one on one, to reclaim his "so called
thrown as prince of all Saiyans." This consumed Vegita so much, it
became his sole ambition throughout the Android/Cell saga.
Vegita never got his fair chance at Goku after he died in the
battle of Cell. He was left with emptiness and lost his will to fight. It
is here that we see Vegita shows that he actually resects his fellow
Saiyan survivor who is now long gone.
7 years after the Cell battle,
Vegita entered himself in the 25rd Tenkaichi budokai (World tournament).
It just happens that Goku is going to come back for one day to participate
in the same tournament. This was oh too sweet for Vegita; he can FINALLY
prove to himself (and Goku for that matter) that he is the better
Saiyan….. the BEST Saiyan. Remember this now: all things have repercussions.
At this stage in Vegita’s life he seems humbled, and very calm. No more
is Vegita the evil nemesis that he was in the past. Actually he never
“changed” into a good guy. Instead he is different based on how he
responds to his own family, and friends. For example: Gohan tells
every Saiyan in the Z team that they should not transform into Super
Saiyan because it attracts too much attention with from the media. Vegita
nonchalantly responds:"if the
media gets in our faces, why don’t we just kill them?" Then Gohan says: “No,
no, we can’t do that, It just isn’t right. Then Vegita says:
“Ok, I guess it doesn’t matter,
as long as we all don't
transform the
out come wont be different.” The
main thing is not to point out that he agreed with Gohan, but that even
though he’s on the side of good, it doesn’t mean he became a caring
fun loving person. Traces of Vegita’s characteristics remained with him
as the story went along. He never worried about the other person’s
welfare in his life, why should he start now?
This is the most interesting
side of Vegita.
Unfortunately things looked bad for the fight Vegita wanted. Interrupted
by the Babadi crisis, the fight between Goku and Vegita was put off until
the situation would become resolved. Vegita didn't care about the fate of
the world, all he cared about was his fight with Goku. Thus
he allowed himself to become consumed by Babadi's magic. This allowed him
to be uncaring and evil as he was before. Despite his hatred for Goku,
Vegita is sentimental towards his friends and family, he actually started
to like Earth and living peacefully. But because of his warrior nature, he
hated being that way. Things did not turn out as they should have. Because
of Vegita's ambitions, it caused the rebirth of the Majin Buu. When he
went to challenge Buu, he clearly showed that he cared for his family and
friends. Vegita sacrificed his life in order to save Earth from Buu. For
the first time he was doing something for someone else besides himself.
In the end, Vegita is the kind of character Earth needs. He's still tough,
but there is a sentimental side to him after all.
